A Celebration of Nature & Craftsmanship

From Forest Bathing to wine tasting, every element of this experience is designed to be mindful, grounding, and deeply nourishing.

Whether you come alone or with friends, this is a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and savour the simple pleasures of the season.

FOREST BATHING IS A SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE MINDFULNESS-BASED PRACTICE OF WALKING SLOWLY AND ATTENTIVELY IN NATURE AND CONNECTING WITH THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH ALL OF YOUR SENSES

The name Forest Bathing is a translation of the Japanese term 'Shinrin Yoku' which literally means Forest Bath. The meaning of this is to bathe in the atmosphere of the Forest and does not refer to any physical kind of swimming or bathing.

The Japanese began Forest bathing back in the 80s and today there are Forest Bathing Guides all over the world guiding people back into Nature to find peace, deep relaxation, connection and meaning. The practice has now been subject to a vast amount of research and has been scientifically proven to be an effective support for mental health illness and physical/emotional health and wellbeing too.

“I did not expect to have such a powerful experience with Forest Bathing. I enjoy being in Nature and well-being so was curious to try and it definitely delivered. I felt so incredibly calm and at peace. I completely lost track of time and got lost in the moment. Tansy was very friendly and professional and lead us on a magical journey. I will definitely be back!”

About wildwood vineyard

Wildwood Vineyard is owned by three families - Paul and Andrea Olding, Paul's mum Enid Olding and Andrea's parents Carol and Vic Greenway.

Paul is the vineyard manager and was trained at Plumpton Wine Division, subsequently taking further qualifications at NIAB EMR East Malling and WSET. During the week, Paul is a tv writer/director. He has also taught viticulture and wine business as a Lecturer at the Plumpton Wine Division

The adventure started in 2014 with the purchase of a barren plot of grassland and a shaw of ancient woodland. Having ameliorated the site nutritionally and physically, in 2016 they planted the field with Bacchus, two clones of Pinot Noir (FR1801 and GM1-11), and Regent.

For such a small vineyard, Wildwood produces a wide range of premium quality, award-winning still and sparkling wines.

Wildwood wines are made under contract by Defined Wine of Canterbury, a founding member of the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain initiative
